       • Distance: 13 km uphill from Katra to the cave (one way).
       • Route: The well-marked path passes through Banganga, Charan Paduka (footprints of the goddess), Adhkuwari (a midway cave temple), and Sanjichhat.
       • Options:
         • Walk: Takes 6–8 hours (round trip).
         • Pony/Palki: Available for hire.
         • Helicopter: Services from Katra to Sanjichhat (saves 9.5 km of trekking).
    2. Bhairavnath Temple
       • Located 2.5 km beyond the main shrine, this temple is dedicated to Bhairavnath, who is believed to guard the goddess.
    3. Banganga
       • A sacred stream where devotees take a ritual dip before starting the trek.
    4. Charan Paduka
       • A rock imprinted with the goddess’s footprints, marking her first stop during her ascent.
    5. Adhkuwari Cave
       • A halfway point where Mata Vaishno Devi is said to have meditated for nine months. Devotees crawl through the narrow Garbha Joon tunnel for blessings.
